Pence moves up in prominent presidential ranking
Mike Pence moved up on the 2008 Power Rankings on PolticalDerby.com after becoming a national conservative figure during the leadership elections in the House. No one in their right mind will vote for a Republican from Washington. Here's why:
HUGE anit-Republican sentiment in the House and Senate was obvious in the midterms. We all were reminded that people were ready for a change.
Now, if that feeling were to improve, it won't be because of the Republicans, who are now in the minority on each side.
SOooo, best case scenerio: Voters still hate Congress. Republicans as much as Demcorats. Worst case scenerio: Dems do something with Congress, and form a positive image of Democrats in Congress, and further the bad image of Republicans.
It's a lose-lose situation. BOttom line. Add in the fact that the MSM LOVES McCain, which is enough for a lot of Republicans to not vote for him.
Number one: Out
Number two: OK
Number three: Bigger RINO than McCain
Number four: Won't decide until next September; 6 months too late
Number five: OK
Number six: out
seven: already out
eight: there are enough racists and sexists that will prevent a woman or a black man from being elected. Let alone a black woman. OUT
nine: out
ten: Lost Senate race=out
Watch for Tommy Thompson to make a move. Pataki could pull something off, but he's a huge RINO as well.
I agree with you about the anti-establishment/Republican insider sentiment throughout the nation. But Mike Pence does not represent the Beltway mentality and is the only proven conservative leader that can unite the Reagan wing.
#2 - too liberal on limited governemnt and abortion
#4 - too much baggage from past and personal life
#5 - too liberal on fiscal discipline and securing our borders
Pence is our only hope!
